Rick Goings’ global humanitarian and philanthropic leadership is a fundamental component of his career, concentrating on women’s empowerment and children’s safety and development.  An engaged member of the World Economic Forum for over a decade, Goings was positioned at the forefront of thought leadership in Davos on gender parity and the empowerment of women. He was an inaugural Champion with United Nations’ HeforShe women’s initiative and a founding member of their Leadership Advisory Council.

His worldwide work in the service of children spanned three decades of service as he served on the National Board of Governors for Boys & Girls Clubs of America with two separate terms as the organization’s chairman. Goings led the initiative to open Youth Clubs outside the US and founded World Youth Clubs with his wife, Susan Porcaro Goings.  He currently serves as the organization’s Founding Chairman which has Affiliates in 48 countries representing over 3500 Youth Clubs and serving over 400,000 young people annually.

At the age of 24 and a Navy veteran, Goings started one of the nation’s first direct sellers of home security systems.  His success brought him to the attention of Avon Products where he held numerous international and domestic senior management positions:   President Avon Germany (1987-88), Group Vice President & Senior Operating Officer Pacific Rim (1988-89), and President of Avon USA (1989-1992).

In 1992, Goings was recruited to Tupperware Worldwide as President, ultimately being named Chairman & CEO of Tupperware Brands for two decades. He was named Chairman Emeritus in 2018.  Under his leadership Tupperware Brands, received numerous awards and recognition including Fortune World’s Most Admired Companies for eight consecutive years, Forbes America’s Most JUST Companies, Barron’s 100 Most Sustainable Companies, and Forbes America’s Best Employers.

Goings was an early proponent and outspoken advocate in redefining the role and purpose of business, from the near-myopic focus on shareholder value to accepting responsibility for all stakeholders, including customers, employees, and each community they serve. He was part of a select group of global business leaders which convened at the Vatican with Pope Francis to enhance support for this initiative.

He serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Rollins College, a 20-year member of Yale’s Chief Executive Leadership Institute and initially served on its Advisory Board, and formerly a member of the International Advisory Board of the Global Peter Drucker Forum.

In recognition of Goings’ dedication as a global business leader and generous philanthropist, and building organizations that advance human prosperity, in 2025 the Global Peter Drucker Forum conferred upon him the Permanent Standing of Honorary Fellow. This is one of the highest recognitions in the world of leadership and business management with only six other individuals having received the same honor.

He has been recognized globally with the distinguished decree of "Chevalier (Knight) de la Légion d'Honneur" presented by the former President of France, and in 2024 he received the Medal for Distinguished Achievement from the American Society of the French Legion of Honor.  He has also received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Direct Selling Association, the prestigious Marco Polo Award bestowed by the People’s Republic of China, the Herbert Hoover Humanitarian Award by Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the Holmes Group named Goings as CEO of the Year.

Goings was educated at Guilford College and is the recipient of several honorary doctorates including Rollins College and Bryant College. He is a life-long physical fitness devotee and has practiced Transcendental Meditation twice daily since his 20’s. In addition, Goings is an avid horseman.
